Recorded in Splice Studio NYC, EMAN8 (Brandyn Burnette) lent his silky falsetto and tenor to sounds primed for pop, R&B, and future-soul productions. He developed riffs, melodies, hooks, and adlibs on the spot for instant hits.
EMAN8 leans into his sharp, creative storytelling to share his unique perspective, taking influence from artists such as Anderson .Paak, Jon Bellion, John Mayer, and Chance The Rapper. His sound is inspired by his Midwest and Caribbean roots, as well as his love for 1990s hip hop and soul paved by artists like J Dilla, Dr. Dre, Lauryn Hill, and The Fugees.
The name EMAN8 comes from his Jamaican middle name “Emanate” which means to “come forth.” His first single “Amen” was released in October 2018 paired with the music video premiered by Billboard. These vocals were recorded on a Neumann u87 through a Neve 1073 pre-amp.
