We cut these drums in a huge room on Neve preamps with a top-shelf condenser and ribbon microphones. And for some additional 1985 flavor, we then pushed them through an AMS RMX16 reverb. The multi-velocity samples are mixed with dry, natural, big, and 2AMS settings for a classic mid-’80s sound.
